No-Bake Chocolate Balls

This recipe is very easy and quick to make. There’s no baking involved!

When sugar cravings hit, I make these balls because I almost always have all the ingredients ready in my pantry.

The ingredients I use are almonds, dates, cacao powder, coconut oil, maple syrup, chia seeds, almond butter, and maca root powder (optional). What I love about these balls is that you can play with the ingredients however you want. You can replace almonds with walnuts or pecans. Or you can use a mix of two or three different nuts. You can certainly use peanut butter in place of almond butter.

Maca is a root plant that is known to boost energy and balance hormones. Using it in this recipe is optional. It adds more to the nutritional value and health benefits of these balls but it does not change the flavour so much.
